KG Property LLC operates the E & T Building in downtown Marlette, Michigan. The building was originally constructed in 1894 as the Gleason Hotel. Through the years it was converted to a boarding house, used as a blind pig, an Odd Fellows Hall, and eventually housed an antique/resale shop. In 1989 the 6500 square foot building was completely renovated into a seven unit apartment building. Each one bedroom apartment is unique in size and style. Special features include nine and ten foot ceilings, hardwood floors, oversize windows, original antique tin ceilings, oak wainscoting, ceiling fans and walk-in closets. The apartments vary in size from 610 to 1060 square feet and each has a unique layout. Kitchens and baths have oak cabinets and all appliances are included. All apartments have central air, softened water, forced air heat and are wired for cable. Some feature private entrances and patio access. Other amenities include an on site laundry facility and private courtyard.
The building is conveniently located in the downtown area one block West of the main traffic light. It is within walking distance to several restaurants, various shops, two pharmacies, the post office, city park, hospital, churches and the library.
